The trailer for the The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has been out for a while now, but watching it again today I’m really looking forward to the release in December. I’m also reminded of just how much Legolas there seems to be in the film (some Legolas), compared to how much Legolas there was in the book (no Legolas). Peter Jackson doubtless claims a number of reasons for the addition. My sources suggest that the truth involves a little more underhanded script editing.
